Notice of Assembly of Members of City Council for Retreat Workshop

Date: May 24, 2023   |  Location: Greenwood, SC

General Information:

On Wednesday, May 24, 2023, the Mayor, City Council, and staff will be traveling to Greenwood, SC. The purpose of this workshop will be to consider future growth planning. This workshop is being held off site/out of the City to have Mayor, Council, and staff together for discussion with minimal distractions. Council will also tour downtown Greenwood to learn what they have done to revitalize their downtown. Since a quorum of Council members will be present in Greenwood, this will constitute a “meeting” as identified by the Freedom of Information Act. However, there will be no votes or formal action by the Council during their presence in Greenwood. This will be an open meeting and the Public may attend.

Location for Assembly in Greenwood:

The Mayor, Council members, and staff will be assembling at the Arts Center of Greenwood, 120 Main Street, Greenwood, SC. It is anticipated that the parties should arrive at approximately 9:00 am and return to North Augusta by approximately 6:00 pm.
