Aiken County Public School District, the sixth largest school district in the state, serves the majority of the school-age student population in North Augusta.  Students residing in the Edgefield County portion of the North Augusta city limits are served by the Edgefield County School District. 

Students in the North Augusta Area are served by four elementary schools, two middle schools, and two high schools. Each of these schools is accredited by the South Carolina Department of Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. North Augusta High School is a National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI) Advanced Placement Academy. It is also one of the few schools in the state to offer the prestigious, nationally recognized Capstone Diploma.
