Bus Routes
The Best Friend Express currently operates in North Augusta with stops throughout the city. The main transit line through the city is the Blue Line. The transit system also takes passengers to Augusta and Aiken. A connection is available to Augusta Public Transit.
Buses operate every Monday through Saturday from 5:00 AM to 7:30 PM. All of the vehicles are ADA compliant including wheelchair lifts. Riders can flag down the bus anywhere along the route, not just at designated stops. The buses are green and white "cutaways" that carry 20 passengers.
ADA paratransit services, or Dail-A-Ride, is available via the Best Friend Express. These rides are $3.00 one way and an application must be completed before requesting rides. The application is available by calling 803-508-7033 or here online.
Bike Lanes
The City of North Augusta recently added dedicated bike lanes on East Buena Vista Avenue and Atomic Road as part of a South Carolina Department of Transportation Project. These lanes allow users to connect Martintown Road to the Greeneway.
