In North Augusta Public Safety, we strive for transparency.  To help us meet that goal we are sharing our officer complaint statistics for the years 2017 - 2021. Each complaint was investigated thoroughly  and the appropriate action (if any) was taken.  Regardless of the outcome, all complaints are reviewed as an opportunity to improve service to the community.

2017

Public Safety received four citizen complaints on officers in 2017.  The complaints were listed as the following:  Rudeness, Unprofessionalism, alleged misconduct and alleged discrimination.

2018

Public Safety received three citizen complaints on officers in 2018.  The complaints were listed as the following:  Rude and offensive, profiling and harassment, and alleged misconduct.

2019

Public Safety received five citizen complaints on officers in 2019.     The complaints were listed as the following:  Excessive force, misleading information from an vehicle collision, excessive force, lack of compassion and rudeness.

2020

Public Safety received three citizen complaints on officers in 2020.     The complaints were listed as the following:  Rudeness, being disrespectful, and inappropriate officer conduct.

2021

Public Safety received three citizen complaints on officers in 2021.     The complaints were listed as the following:  Illegal search, excessive force, and inappropriate officer conduct.

2022

Public Safety received eight citizen complaints on officers in 2022.  The complaints were listed as the following:  alleged discrimination, excessive force, unprofessionalism, alleged misconduct, unprofessional and no compassion, alleged racial profiling, use of force, rudeness.
